Cultural arts performers and supporters discuss artistic craft during ‘Thoughtful Thursday’ event

More than 40 individuals from the campus community and the region discussed what inspires artists and musicians as well as the ups and downs of an artist’s life during the “Thoughtful Thursday Salon Series” event Thursday, Jan. 14, in the Quinn Library at Ohio University-Chillicothe’s Stevenson Center. The event allowed for an insightful and lively discourse that focused on the local, vibrant arts community with many area individual sharing their own experiences and learning from each other’s viewpoints. Participants included both practicing artists/musicians and those with an interest in these cultural pursuits. The “Thoughtful Thursday” series is intended to offer area residents the opportunity to engage in informal, intellectual discussions covering a range of topics and strengthen the learning community that exists on campus and in the region. The series is coordinated by the campus’ Cultural Events Committee.
