Job expo scheduled at Ohio University-Chillicothe

Approximately 50 employers are expected to participate in the 21st annual Job Expo at Ohio University-Chillicothe’s Shoemaker Center from noon to 4 p.m. March 23. The event is free and open to the public. In addition to the opportunity to meet with prospective employers, there will be free workshops on the following topics: • Veterans workshop at 1:30 p.m. • Job fair etiquette at 2 p.m. • Resume’ building at 2:30 p.m. • Interviewing skills at 3 p.m. “The workshops allow the opportunity for job-seekers to receive useful insights and polish their skills before meeting with prospective employers,” OU-C Manager of Student Recruitment TJ Eveland said. “The event is part of the campus’ emphasis on outreach programs that benefit our students and others in the region through career preparation.” In addition to OU-C, other sponsors are Ross County Veterans Council, Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and Pickaway & Ross JOBS One-Stop.
