Ashlee Rauckhorst has been named coordinator of student affairs and academic advisor at Ohio University-Chillicothe, effective June 2.
In this position, she will be involved in several facets of the Office of Student Services that impact student enrollment and retention. Her duties involve advising students, working with Student Senate and other student organizations as well as coordinating the financial aid and scholarship processes.
Rauckhorst, a native of Wadsworth, Ohio, earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in education from Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree in education with a certificate in women’s studies from the University of Georgia.
While at the University of Georgia, she gained broad-based experience in student services functions. She was a graduate assistant with the university’s alumni association, advising Student Alumni Council members, including the coordination of leadership development events. She was also a graduate intern with the Freshman College Summer Experience program and a practicum student with the Center for Student Organizations. She also was a graduate assistant with the Office of Student Affairs at the University of Georgia at Gwinnett in Lawrenceville.
She served as a program director with the Akron Area YMCA Rotary Camp. In this position, Rauckhorst recruited, hired and supervised seasonal staff members to work with children with special needs.

She has a strong, well-rounded background in student services and a passion for working with students of all ages to help them find their niche and find success during their college careers,” Director of Student Services John Fisher said. “During this time of outstanding growth, it is important to have the right people in place to help ensure our students have exceptional college experiences and that we are meeting the needs and expectations of our students.”
