The fact of the matter is that brillant instructors are being forced to sit behind a podium when they should be teaching behind a canvas. While courses such as Art 110 are enlightening, they miss the honesty, dedication and humanity taught by studio art courses. Just when we thought OUC had more to offer to our community than education majors and nursing students, we are quick to retract our excitement. Through the work of Margaret McAdams and Dennis Deane, OUC had stablized an amazing art program that was sending talented artists into the world with Ohio University Chillicothe&#39;s name attached to it. I don&#39;t really know how to react. I love that guy. Had it not been for him, and other great theater friends before him, I don&#39;t know that I would have made it through my 4-year tenure in the Theater Department. Colt was also a very talented singer-songwriter. We used to go over to his apartment between classes and jam a little. He told me recently that he had some of his original songs he wanted me to play out. I agreed but never got a chance to meet up with him. If anyone knows anything about a way to contact his roommates, family, or anyone who may have information about where his writings and songs are, I would love to get a chance to look it over and let Colt sing on. It would be an honor. I&#39;m really going to miss you, Colt.
